About
LeadTech Inc is a Michigan corporation, incorporated in 2023 and headquartered in Troy. The company registered with the federal government as a defense supplier in September 2026 under CAGE Code 24Q16 and is actively registered in SAM.gov.
Why we exist
Small unmanned aircraft stopped being a niche procurement and became a consumable one. What the Department now needs is domestic capacity that can surge, airframes cheap enough to expend, a supply chain free of covered foreign entity content, and open architecture that accepts government-furnished payloads and software. That is a manufacturing and supply-chain problem before it is an aerospace problem — and it is the problem LeadTech was built to work.
We are honest about where we sit. LeadTech is an emerging supplier with no prior past performance in unmanned systems. We are not asking to be taken on faith; we are asking for a facility visit, a first article, and a sample build against your requirement.
Why Michigan
In February 2026 the Department of War designated Michigan's National All-Domain Warfighting Center a National Range for Deep Uncrewed Aerial Systems Training — one of a small number of ranges in the country cleared for deep UAS work. Michigan enacted a supporting drone legislation package the following month.
We are building in Troy, inside the state's existing automotive electronics, tooling, and precision machining base — the same base that already makes motors, magnets, harnesses and moulded structure at volume. Those are the recognised bottleneck in domestic small-UAS rate production, and they are the part of the problem Michigan is unusually well positioned to solve. Troy is about three hours from Camp Grayling and the NADWC.
A 10,000 sq ft facility in Troy is planned to consolidate design, fabrication, assembly and test under one roof, including layup, press and cure of our own carbon fibre plate. Site selection is underway; the plant is not yet stood up.
Ownership & structure
Team
President. Founder-led decision authority — quotes and engineering changes are approved same-day. Twenty years building and running construction, finance and technology companies under common ownership.
Design authority for airframe structure and systems integration, from CAD through first-article build and technical data package.
A combat veteran and former Florida Highway Patrol state trooper reviews airframe, handling, and field-maintainability decisions against real employment conditions — military and public-safety — rather than against a requirements document.
Production web platforms, customer portals and internal systems built by company leadership using AI-assisted development. Software work stays in house — the same discipline that runs the autonomy stack.
LeadTech Inc is not a veteran-owned or service-disabled veteran-owned small business. A combat veteran serves on the team in an advisory capacity.
Track record
LeadTech has no past performance in unmanned systems, and says so. What the common-ownership group does have is two decades of delivering to fixed budget and schedule under audit:
